If I didn't have to save...

There are about 5 other things that should be given priority at the moment, yet I'm incredibly preoccupied by things. Mainly, things I want.

Long ago leather shorts set up camp on my wish list and they don't seem to be going anywhere. Problem is, I can't find the right ones. Vintage maybe, kind of slouchy, yet not so 80's, not too long yet not super short, with something interesting that makes them stand out from the rest. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK????

Hey, look who it is. It's Chloe Sevigny, looking pretty bad-ass in Opening Ceremony leather shorts. They'll do, for the time being.

I'm not getting married. At all. But I can't stop thinking about the vintage wedding dresses from LA Vintage.

I'm pretty sure I could come up with a reason to justify a purchase. 'Uh...just in case I...you know...join a cult. The kind that dance in fields of flowers and relive days when love was free and all you needed was a guitar and a fistful of dreams. Yeah, that cult. They're recruiting, I hear'.

Lastly, a leopard print coat please. I found two that were very near perfect, but this was at a time when poverty was my best friend. As they are now probably gone, the search continues. It may be a side effect of my Kate Moss obsession, but I don't think my wardrobe will be happy until it has one.

So for the moment, that's all I want. It's really not too much to ask.

This is why I love Canberra.

What are you doing Saturday? Around 12-3? And no, I'm not asking you on a date. Don't get your hopes up.
I just think you would look pretty damn fine is some AMAZING vintage threads. I also have a feeling you enjoy gardens and a nice tune or two.

If I'm correct, then you should probably be here...

I know I will be. Let's get our garden party on.

Hello March!

A conversation that could happen:
Person 1: What are you doing?
Person 2: Just blogging about my weekend
Person 1: That's remarkably self indulgent. Why would anyone care?
Person 2: Whatevs. I do what I want

Soooo.....my weekend. Which was really lovely and one of those weekends when Canberra shows off how super, ultra cool it is.

It started off slowly, with chocolate croissants, watching The Simpsons and skittles with my 9 year old sister. But eventually we arrived at the beautiful St Andrews Church for 'A Right Royal Affair', a selling exhibition of lovely vintage fair, most examples of what royalty might wear. The gowns, skirts, coats, shoes, hats, gloves and jewellery were all wonderful and if I was a wealthier lady I would have made many purchases.

Have a look....

To find out more go to http://www.seamsold.com (if you have a spare few hundred they sell online!)

On Sunday we took ourselves down to The Front for the Art Fair. And some people are so talented! Again, no purchases were made because of finances but it was such a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning

(If you accidentally got in my photos I apologise for putting you on the internet without your permission. But don't sweat it, YOU'RE FAMOUS!!)

This wonderful table belonged to 'Succulent Cuppa'. The lovely brooches, rings and darling little plants were created by the talented Sarah Firth and would make a great addition to any outfit, home or office.
Check out where she'll be next!

Thanks for the lovely weekend, Canberra. Can't wait for the next one!
