For a while now anyone who loves a good time in Canberra has been shaking their groove thang at Purple Sneakers on the last Friday of the month. But once a month is never enough Sneakers, right? Right.
So tie up your dancing shoes and get ready to bust a move at the launch of Fresh Prince, an all new live music night that the well-dressed kids over at Purple Sneakers are bringing to Canberra monthly.

If you get your fine self down to Transit this Saturday night your ears will be soothed and delighted by the psychedelic beach tunes of Deep Sea Arcade. No strangers to a good time, DSA are the perfect party people to launch Fresh Prince in style. They'll be supported by Canberra's very own Fun Machine, long since the purveyors of cool in our fair city.

But never fear, you amazing creatures! This by no way means the Purple Sneakers we know and love will be going anywhere. Renamed Bel Air, your favourite late night party will still be right where you found it, on the last Friday of every month.

So make like Will Smith and get jiggy wit' it for FRESH PRINCE, at TRANSIT, this SATURDAY.

If I didn't have to save...

There are about 5 other things that should be given priority at the moment, yet I'm incredibly preoccupied by things. Mainly, things I want.

Long ago leather shorts set up camp on my wish list and they don't seem to be going anywhere. Problem is, I can't find the right ones. Vintage maybe, kind of slouchy, yet not so 80's, not too long yet not super short, with something interesting that makes them stand out from the rest. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK????

Hey, look who it is. It's Chloe Sevigny, looking pretty bad-ass in Opening Ceremony leather shorts. They'll do, for the time being.

I'm not getting married. At all. But I can't stop thinking about the vintage wedding dresses from LA Vintage.

I'm pretty sure I could come up with a reason to justify a purchase. 'Uh...just in case I...you know...join a cult. The kind that dance in fields of flowers and relive days when love was free and all you needed was a guitar and a fistful of dreams. Yeah, that cult. They're recruiting, I hear'.

Lastly, a leopard print coat please. I found two that were very near perfect, but this was at a time when poverty was my best friend. As they are now probably gone, the search continues. It may be a side effect of my Kate Moss obsession, but I don't think my wardrobe will be happy until it has one.

So for the moment, that's all I want. It's really not too much to ask.
